BOSSINGADULT BUSINESS & COMMERCE TRAINING
Turn an idea into a clear offer. Know your costs. Get the terms in writing. Keep records you can use.
SLOW PROCESS, SURE PROGRESS.
THE STARTING POINT
For adults preparing for paid work or putting more structure around a small business. Start with one offer and follow it through to the records.
Make it clear what the customer receives, what it costs and when it will be delivered.
Offer sheet ↗Account for time, supplies, fees and overhead before accepting the job.
Pricing worksheet ↗Put the scope, payment dates and any changes in writing before work begins.
Work order ↗Connect the invoice, confirmed payment and supporting documents.
Invoice and cash log ↗“I help organize workspaces” is broad. “One three-hour session to sort a desk area and label up to 10 folders” gives a customer something specific to accept. Add exclusions and a completion date.
A $120 job with $20 in supplies and travel does not automatically produce $100 of profit. Preparation time, delivery time, fees and overhead still matter. Use the planning calculator below before quoting.
Use one reference to connect the accepted work order, invoice and payment confirmation. An invoice asks for payment; it does not prove money arrived. Record owner funding and transfers separately from customer sales.
TRY THE NUMBERS
This simple planning tool accounts for your time alongside job costs. Change the example to see what remains at your proposed price.
A planning estimate, before taxes and unexpected costs. Your time allowance is not an automatic payroll expense or tax deduction.
Allow for taxes and unexpected costs before deciding what is available to spend.
Numbers stay in this page. They are not submitted or saved.
